MUD METAL OIL

  • Centrespace Gallery & Studios 6 Leonard Lane Bristol, England, BS1 1EA United Kingdom (map)

MUD METAL OIL brings together a dynamic group of local artists formed together as an informal collective. Combining the works of seasoned artists and makers with those of newcomers, the works on display provide a snapshot of the creative process at various stages of artistic development.

Displaying a range of contemporary fine art, ranging from oil and acrylic painting, enamel, spray paint, and ceramics, the exhibition celebrates a rich diversity of skill, material, and perspective. As the title suggests, the core of MUD METAL OIL spotlights the tactile and transformative nature of artistic practice. Coinciding with the exhibition, the group are hosting a graffiti/street art workshop during its run.

While each artist works in their own way, their approaches share a deep commitment to process, exploration, and expression. By consolidating a diverse portfolio of mediums under one roof, the exhibition seeks to bridge the perceived distance and divide between different artistic fields and genres. In doing so, it exemplifies the beauty that emerges when individual voices merge to form a collective whole.
