GALLERY
Centrespace Gallery is an artist-run, not-for-profit, affordable, semi-industrial 120sqm space, located in the centre of Bristol. Our ethos is to show fresh and interesting work across all art forms. We accept applications from established & mid-career artists, students & recent graduates with a special emphasis on encouraging new talent. In support of DIY culture, artists curate and install their own shows, invigilating and engaging with the public. The space can also be made available for experimental projects or as a temporary studio space to explore ideas.

Our gallery is committed to making our exhibitions as accessible as possible. While we know there is much to improve, we aim to make our gallery as accessible as possible. Below are key accessibility details for visitors:
Physical Access
Entrance Access: The gallery has a portable disabled ramp. However, it must be manually set up each day. The ramp is very heavy if necessary, a public member may assist in setting it up. Additionally, wheelchair users may require assistance from someone to push them up the ramp, as it is not self-supported.
Wheelchair Access: Once inside, the space is wheelchair accessible. However, please note that the floor has minor damage and slight bumps that may affect mobility.
Facilities
Seating: Some seating can be provided upon request; depending on the exhibition there may already be seating. The exhibiting artists are responsible for setting up seating for visitors.
Accessible Toilet: There is a disabled access toilet on-site, equipped with one support bar and an emergency pull cord. While functional, it may not meet all accessibility standards.
Lighting & Sensory Considerations
Lighting: The gallery lights can be dimmed upon request to accommodate visitors with light sensitivity.
Sensory Sensitivities: Each exhibition is different, but if any show includes elements such as flashing lights, loud sounds, or strong scents, this will be noted in the advertising.
