About Centrespace

Founded in 2000, Centrespace Gallery is a vibrant artist-run, not-for-profit gallery located in the heart of Bristol. Housed within a semi-industrial 120m² unit, the gallery is part of a long-standing co-operative studio space that has supported independent artists and craftspeople since the late 1970s.

Centrespace exists to support creativity, experimentation, and accessibility in the arts. We host exhibitions across all disciplines, welcoming proposals from established artists, emerging talent, students, and recent graduates.

As part of Centrespace Co-operative, the gallery operates on a hire basis. Artists are responsible for curating, installing, and invigilating their own exhibitions, encouraging direct engagement with audiences. We are proud to be an inclusive and affordable cultural hub.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and well-organised Gallery Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the gallery, and to be in charge of arranging bookings. As the public face of both the gallery and the co-operative, you will play a central role in supporting artists, maintaining operations, and overseeing the space's digital presence.

You will work closely with the Centrespace Administrator, working to manage the finances of the Gallery. You will also work closely with the Gallery Committee, attending meetings and contributing to the ongoing development of an artist-led space. This hands-on role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to respond to issues as they arise calmly.
