‘Buried Moons: Forgotten folktales from beyond the patriarchy’

A group of 15 multidisciplinary artists recount the lost fables of fantastic FINT (female, intersex, non-binary, transgender) characters to celebrate this year's International Women’s Day. 

Events & Workshops include:


Saturday 4th, 2-3.30pm - Painting with Chemistry - a DIY Photography Workshop

This workshop involves using light sensitive darkroom paper with home made chemistry and found objects straight from nature such as leaves and flowers to make unique prints! Led by Sophie Sherwood  @photosophiaus

Saturday 4th, 6-7.30pm - Art-therapy Sharing Circle: The Gifts of Crone

A workshop exploring the cycles of our bodies through the Crone archetype - open to all FINT (female, intersex, nobinary, trans) identifying folk - please feel welcome to come even if you do not bleed. Led by Živa Žena @ziva.zena

Sunday 5th, 11am-12.30pm - Indian Folk Art

Join Indian artist Sayambrita for a morning of Indian Folk Art based upon mindfulness and slow art. Looking into animals, birds, trees and people in traditional art, you will be guided to make colourful artwork(s). Led by Sayambrita Mukherjee @sayambritamukherjee

Tuesday 7th, 6-7.30pm - Brave Heroines in a New Light: A Journey into Uncharted Italian Fairytales

A creative storytelling workshop aimed at people who are curious about lesser-known tales from the past with a feminist twist. In this workshop, participants will learn about audacious heroines in the Italian fairy-tale tradition, while reflecting on the power of creating new stories. Led by Elena Sottilotta @hopeful_folktales
